PGP and Intel, have developed a strategic partnership over the past two years focused on creating a fast, transparent, high performance Whole Disk Encryption (WDE) solution to enable large enterprise and SMB customers to protect their sensitive data from theft or accidental loss. Intel’s partnership with PGP Corporation addresses three growing trends that cost businesses and consumers billions of dollars every year – identity theft, data breaches and computer theft. Approximately 10% of all notebooks annually are lost or stolen so it is imperative that notebooks today incorporate two critical technology components to address these issues proactively and reactively – data protection and hardware-based anti-theft capabilities.
